People for Pets - Magic Valley Humane Society

Welcome to our site!

People for Pets is a grassroots 501(c)(3) organization that was formed in 1988 with the primary purpose of assisting the Twin Falls Animal Shelter by improving the care of their impounded companion animals.

For years, we have helped companion pets find new homes. Our staff and volunteers ensure these animals get care and loving attention while they are residents of our shelter, but we have so many furry friends that are in need of loving homes! Take a look at our adoptable friends and see if someone catches your eye today!

We are always looking for more volunteers to come and help out at the shelter. If you are interested, please click here to learn more!

We hope to see you soon!

Do you want to be a part of helping homeless, abandoned, stray, and surrendered animals that have medical needs while having a blast?

Join us for a night out at the 12th Annual Furrball! March 7th, 6pm-10pm. Held at The Turf Club in Twin Falls! There will be live music, appetizers, a no-host bar, raffle baskets, silent auction items, a photo booth, dancing, and so much more! All proceeds from this event benefit the shelter's medical fund for the hundreds of injured or sick animals that find shelter in our facility, just like Trooper who was left for dead on the side of the road after being ran over by a car! His spine and both sides of his pelvis were broken. He went through 2 major surgeries and is on the road to recover, thanks to our generous supporters. Last year's proceeds saved Trooper's life! Tickets go on sale at the shelter February 3rd, 2020 for $45/ticket! Reserved seating only! Mark your calendars, you don't want to miss this!
