There are many ways to donate to the shelter! Financial donations are always one of our biggest needs because that money is what is used to take care of sick and injured animals, or ones needing extra medical attention (such as dental work, bloodwork, etc).
Help enrich shelter pets’ lives! Used items are great if they are in working condition!
Perpetual motion toys will be used as visual enrichment for cats a couple times a day.
Wind chimes and bubbles will also be used as visual enrichment for our kitty cats to keep their days interesting. Wind chimes will also provide a nice auditory stimulus (as long as it has a soft chime).
Plastic (and therefore easily cleaned) furniture will be used in the small dogs’ kennels to make them feel a little more like home.
Have any old tires sitting around? We are looking for some tires we can use in the outdoor puppy pen to give them something to climb on during their play breaks.
Pheromone sprays can be used to reduce stress for the dogs and cats. They are available online or at most pet stores.
We also accept new or used:
stuffed toys (none with beans/beads in them please)
Nutra Nugget Lamb and Rice adult dog food (Costco or Fred Meyer)
Kirkland Puppy food
Purina Cat Chow
Purina Kitten Chow
Tidy Cat Litter (unscented, non-clumping)
Pet Food Pantry:
We accept any brand of dog or cat food for our pet food pantry. Opened bags are fine too! This food is used to help pet owners in our community who are struggling to feed their pets at this time. There are a lot of people between jobs or waiting on the next paycheck who need a little help getting through until then. Your donation to the pet food pantry will help these individuals be able to keep their beloved pet and not have to turn it in to the shelter.
For 24 years Dixie lived the dream of a loved and cherished companion. She was abandoned and was nurtured back to health. Please donate to help fund the care of the unfortunate.
